Over his career, David has delivered over 20 Plenary and Invited Lectures at International meetings, editied two conference proceedings, authored over 60 papers and is an inventor on over 50 granted patent families. Watson Research Centre in NY in Supervisor - Prof.
Lewis' research career has centered on understanding and leveraging the relationship between the behavior of molecules and structures at the molecular and nano scales with the macroscopic properties they display. This has led to a number of innovative solutions being successfully licensed, developed and implemented into new products and technologies. Professor Lewis initiated NanoConnect, an industry engagement program in which companies have the opportuniity to discover how nanotechnoogy can help their business.
Over 30 companies participated in the program and opportunites have been identified for all of them.
Leveraging more than 28 years of international tax and transfer pricing expertise, David has broad industry experience with a particular emphasis on natural resources and technology. His experience encompasses practicing in three major jurisdictions: Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom. In that practice, he focused largely on cross-border transfer pricing planning for intellectual property. He also acted as an expert witness in transfer pricing litigation, and has acted for both taxpayers and the Australian Taxation Office ATO.
David retired as a partner of EY in Valuation and consulting for financial reporting, federal, state and local tax, investment and risk management purposes.
